In Week 5, you prepared interview questions for a leader and a manager in the healthcare setting and conducted interviews with each. By now, you should have valuable insight into their leadership and management strategies to accomplish the mission, vision, and goals of their organization. This week, you will reflect on your interviews with these individuals.
For this assignment, you will prepare a reflective report containing an introduction outlining the process you used to prepare for these interviews. Be sure to include any challenges you encountered scheduling the interviews. The next section of your report will contain the interview questions you used from Week 5 and the responses to your questions by your leader and manager interviewees. You will reflect on their responses to your questions and predict their leadership styles, traits, and strengths. Provide a discussion on the competencies you identified associated for each question and whether you still affirm these competencies as stated or whether responses from your interviewees gave you a different perspective.
In your summary, reflect on the benefit of this assignment and your Week 5 assignment. Think about the differences in the roles of leaders and managers now that you have heard from the experts and compare your findings to what you learned from your research of the literature.
