In this writing assignment, you will describe your vision of an ideal U.S. healthcare system.
Pulling from all that you have learned in this week’s lesson and earlier lessons, consider what an ideal U.S. healthcare system might look like.
Step 1: Write a 4 – 5 page paper (total # of pages does not include the title and reference pages).
Include at least 3 scholarly resources to support your positions.
Use APA formatting for all in-text citations and full references at the end.
Step 2: Address the following questions:
If you were designing a new healthcare system in the United States:
- Provide an overview of your ideal healthcare system.
- How has recent health care reform legislation affected progress toward achieving your ideal healthcare delivery system? Would you need new legislation to achieve your goals?
- What elements of the current system would you keep and why? What elements would you change and why?
- How would the health care be paid for?
- What innovative ideas can you envision related to improving our healthcare system? Consider- technological innovations, possible new programs, incentives, changes to system structures or processes, or changes in how care is currently delivered, and more.
Step 3: This is a scholarly paper. Please include both an introduction and summary paragraphs. Be specific and explain your responses. Use a minimum of three scholarly references to back up you ideas. Make sure you properly cite references in APA format. Use your APA Help Guide!
