For my Module 02 project assignment, I have selected Alzheimer’s disease as the alteration in health I would like to focus on. I chose this disease because it is a prevalent and deeply impactful neurodegenerative condition, and there is a wealth of information available in both research literature and reputable sources. Alzheimer’s disease is a significant public health concern, and I believe that studying it will provide valuable insights into the complexities of neurological disorders and their effects on individuals and their families. I am confident that I can meet the project requirements by delving into the causes, risk factors, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment options, and the emotional and social impact of Alzheimer’s disease on both patients and caregivers. I will seek instructor approval before proceeding further with this selection.
