  1. First task is to access to the On-line LIRN database, by following the instructions below:
  2. Enter to Blackboard
  3. Click on tools
  4. Click on LIRN system tool
  5. Select a subject (science database)
  6. Now you should see a search bar
  7. Input the selected topic and hit enter
  8. CONGRATULATIONS, you have successfully made it!

 

  1. Locate papers about a given topic:
  2. Scroll down and observe all the groups and subjects included.
  3. Click on Science Database.
  4. Click on publications
  5. Search for a journal called: Physics Today.
  6. Under Choose and issue to view: Select Year 2018, Volume 71(3). Click on View issue
  7. The first article showed has title: Physics and human rights. Answer the questions below:
  8. Who was the author?
  9. What was the publication date?
  10. Who was the publisher?
  11. What is the language of the publication?
  12. Who owns the Copyright of this journal?
  13. Look at the top-right corner of the page. Click on Cite.

Copy the citation using the format: APA 6TH – American Psychological Association, 6th Edition.

Copy the citation using the format: Council of Science Editors: CSE 8TH, Name – Year Sequence

  1. Read the Abstract. What is this article about?
  2. Shows this journal full-text?
