Throughout this week, I delved into the concept of connective leadership styles and explored their various characteristics. As I reflected upon these styles, I found that the one that closely aligns with my personal leadership characteristics is the transformational leadership style. Transformational leaders inspire and motivate others to achieve their full potential, foster a sense of trust and collaboration, and encourage innovation and creativity within the team. I strongly believe in the power of empowering others, setting a vision, and creating an environment that encourages growth and development. By adopting a transformational leadership style, I can cultivate a positive and high-performing team that strives for excellence.
As I pondered on the use of power to influence change in my NP (Nurse Practitioner) role, I realized the importance of utilizing power ethically and responsibly. As a healthcare professional, I have the power to advocate for patients, influence healthcare policies, and drive improvements within the healthcare system. To effectively use power for change, I aim to engage in collaborative decision-making processes, actively listen to the perspectives of others, and build partnerships with diverse stakeholders. By leveraging my power and influence in a constructive manner, I can effect positive change by addressing systemic issues, promoting evidence-based practices, and advocating for the well-being of my patients and the community at large.
