- Select a health problem that primarily affects the Young Adult, Adult or Older Adult population. (Research what comes out in the Boards and look for a topic you are weak in)
- Slide 1: Provide information about the incidence, prevalence, and pathophysiology of the disease/disorder to the cellular level.
- Slide 2: Patient Presentation (Chief Complaint, OLDCART)
- Slide 3: ROS
- Slide 4: PE
- Slide 5: Social, Vitals, Labs, etc
- Slide 6: Differential Diagnosis with ICD # & the why you choose these
- Slide 7: Plan and Cost
- Slide 8: Provide patient education for management, cultural, and spiritual considerations for care must also be addressed.
- Slide 9: Educate the advanced practice nurses on
- assessment and diagnostic exams (Remember, APRN are the primary care providers)
- Referrals if needed
- care/treatment including genetics/genomics—specific for this disorder
- WHAT ARE THE PEARLS NEEDED FOR ANOTHER NP TO REMEMBER.
- Slide 10: What guidelines are you using to care for this patient.
- Slide 11: Reference
Submission Instructions:
- The paper is to be clear and concise and students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation and misspelling.
- You will wear a white coat
